What’s your reaction if I told you the Teletubbies have a CD out? Excitement? Fear? Indifference?Well if it’s excitement or you have a small child who loves Teletubbies you will want to enter my giveaway to win one. The Big Hugs CD is everything you would expect from music by the Teletubbies: the music is upbeat, silly and catchy. It’s not everyones cup of tea, but there will be toddlers all over the country dancing around excitedly to it.
The CD features the regular songs from seasons 1 and 2 of the new TV programme including the Teletubbies Theme and Tiddlytubbies Sleepybyes. There are also classic songs reinvented such as “If you are happy and you know it say eh oh” and “Four little monkeys jumping on the bed”.
After listening to the album 5 times I can finally remember the names of all the Tiddlytubbies. If you don’t know who the Tiddlytubbies are you clearly haven’t been watching the new series. The little teletubbies are called: Daa Daa, Baa, Umby Pumby, Ping, Mi-Mi, RuRu, Nin and Duggle Dee and there is the Tiddly Noo too.
Just like the albums of Justin Fletcher I have found myself singing along after listening to Big Hugs a few times and my toddler loves to dance to the album. Big Sister requested it was turned off though so 6 is obviously too old for Teletubbies. For some reason even after listening repeatedly I still seem to mishear “bottom bump” as “bottom burp”, you know you want to listen to the Bottom Bump Song now don’t you?
The Big Hugs album has a collection of 19 songs from seasons 1 and 2 of the new Teletubbies. The songs last between just under a minute to just over 3 and the total play time is 35 minutes. I find it is perfect for keeping my little one entertained on short drives to the shops and school.
